We like to form a partnership type relationship with you early in the process. The main benefit to you of choosing your builder earlier is that you can maintain better control of your budget throughout the design stage. You’ll also benefit from having more time to develop a trusted relationship with your builder than a normal tendering process allows.
Usually, a list of builders are asked to quote for your project after all designs and local authority consents are in place. Establishing an early stage relationship with your builder means that once the local authority consents have been approved, you are likely to be able to start the construction phase much sooner. Normally, you could wait another 3-6 months to receive all builders quotes, choose your preferred builder and then wait for a suitable start date.
