Project Description
Project Description – Alterations, Extension and Gardens, Bruceland Mansions, Elgin
This is a truly special bespoke project and one which our team immensely enjoyed building for our clients.
The works involved the removal of the entire rear elevation of the house with a new steel portal frame installed to support the existing building and form the structure of the new timber frame extension. We re-modelled the footprint of the existing ground floor to produce the stunning family, dining and kitchen area you see in our images.
We used many different and exciting products to create the stunning end result. The extension is clad externally with cedral linings and we have used with brick slips outside and in to great effect. It is fully air conditioned and the windows, doors and internal timber finishes are in Matt Black and we even have some oak flooring on the TV wall!
The garden is certainly up there with the internal finishes and uses some very high quality slate paving and raised beds along with composite decking and fencing with artificial turf lawns. We have also created raised tree planters, circular seating and fire pit all clad in white K-Rend.
It all adds up to a fantastic project that we are very proud of.
